Scentium Flavours Achieves HACCP Certification In Indonesia

Scentium Flavours, an international manufacturer of food flavours, is glad to announce it obtained the HACCP certification for its subsidiary in Jakarta, Indonesia, reinforcing the company’s commitment to offer high-quality ingredients to its clients by using safe production methods.

The whole manufacturing facility of Scentium Flavours in Indonesia, (warehouse and production) has been the object of an evaluation, from the initial receiving of incoming materials and packaging, to the ultimate stage of storing the finished manufactured products. The laboratory, as a part of the HACCP system, has also been monitored in every area of operation.

The entire audit was programmed and supervised by the firm MBrio, a leading certifying body in the field of quality assurance and food safety on the Indonesian market. Several audits have been conducted, leading to a final meeting with MBrio and an external auditing team (supervised by a Board of Indonesian authorities in the Food Industry and Food Safety), where the HACCP certification was given to Scentium Flavours Indonesia.

“While individuals are becoming more and more concerned about food safety issues, implementing standardized safety procedures in the manufacturing process of food ingredients should be fundamental for any company in the sector,” said Didier Parizot, General Manager of Scentium Flavours Indonesia. “The HACCP certification represents for us a testimony to the company’s ongoing engagement to sanitation and to deliver superior food ingredients to its clients.”

“Our installations were already delivering high-quality standards in terms of safety and sanitation, so few changes had to be made to fulfill the requirements of the HACCP certification,” said Carlos Sanchez, Technical Manager at Scentium Flavours Indonesia. “The category “A” HALAL MUI certification we obtained in 2014 (issued by the Assessment Institute for Foods, Drugs, and Cosmetics of Majelis Ulama Indonesia, member of the World HALAL Council) was covering the essence of the HACCP certification.”

By combining both certifications, Scentium Flavours Indonesia positions itself as a first choice food ingredients’ manufacturer for any food supplier prioritizing safety, quality and sanitation in their customer offer.
